Downtown Dubai is a large-scale, mixed-use development. Crafted in line with world standards for city centers of worlds largest cosmopolitan megalopolises.  The Dubai Downtown was created by the Emaar Properties. Before 2000, the place was called Umm Al Tarif.

It is home to some of the city’s largest landmarks including Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and Dubai Fountain.  It covers an area of 2 square kilometers (0.77 sq mi) and strategically connects Old and New Dubai. 

Arabic low-rise vernacular style of architecture is present in the Old Town, while high-rise contemporary buildings dominate the rest of the development.

The prime location keeps Downtown busy throughout the year. Constantly attracting tourists, there’re always some things to do in the area.  The area is best known for offering a luxurious lifestyle. It used to be a vertical community, but many villas have also been added to the real estate market. It is the second most popular area offering luxury apartments for rent after Dubai Marina
